There's something about Chinese New Year.
Whilst we don't have firecrackers (except at the River Hongbao) and don't experience wintery weather, there is a festive air in town. Maybe it's the plethora of new year goodies that pop up at every corner of every mall, or the super glittery gold-red decorations being pedalled at make-shift stands, or the tunes of Chinese New Year songs that are on repeat mode at every supermarket and shopping centre.
